Jane of By Design Landscape Architects, has 15 years experience working as a Landscape Architect in NZ and internationally. After graduating from Lincoln University with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture, Jane established her own business in the late 1990s, The Garden Room in the Waikato, working on gardens ranging from large rural properties to smaller residential retreats.

Jane has worked in Australia and spent six years in the UK as a Landscape Architect with Lovejoy London. During this time Jane was able to broaden her design and technical skills while working on new resort developments, private luxury hotels, business parks, urban regeneration projects and residential garden spaces in London and the Mediterranean.

Jane's approach is to employ classic design techniques honed at home and abroad, while responding directly to the architecture of the home and lifestyle of each client. Focusing on simplicity, bold, balanced form and merging native and exotic plantings, Jane looks forward to showing you the possibilities of your site and collaborating with you to bring your wishes into fruition.
