Second Nature is a well-established and respected landscaping company offering many years of experience, expertise and passion. The company is recognised by the industry as having the skills, knowledge and capability to build the most complex and innovative designs to the highest standard, and can provide project management skills and either in-house design services, or work as part of a team with any of Auckland’s leading designers or architects.

Second Nature also has a Garden Care division which maintains many of the gardens built by the company, to ensure that the quality of the design is retained as the garden matures.

The company is jointly owned by Chris Ballantyne and Janet Clarke. Director Chris Ballantyne has been working in the landscape industry for over 25 years. Recently presented with a Distinguished Service Award from the Landscape Industries Association of New Zealand, Chris’s passion for constructing beautiful gardens is a key element in the company’s vision and core purpose.

Janet has business qualifications and years of experience in construction contracts and project management. Together they strive to provide Second Nature’s clients with high standards of workmanship, communication and service.
